This course introduces the various functions of human resource management as human as capital point of view, including compensation and benefits, staffing, recruitment and selection, research, labor relations, training and development, health and safety, planning, mediation and arbitration, the influence of government legislation on industry, and human rights legislation and employment equity.
BMBA1223 Statistical Methods for Management Decisions (01A WE)
Students will learn and apply concepts such as two population hypothesis testing, correlation, simple and multiple regression analysis, and qualitative variables. Extensive use of statistical analysis software is required, and application of the material, as well as several case studies, will be used to help students develop their skillsets.

Students in this course will develop skills to understand economic analysis and optimal decisions, consumer choice and demand for products, production functions and cost curves, market structures, pricing and non-price concepts. Cases and problems will be used to understand the economic tools and their use in solving real-world problems.

This course examines the theories and models of leadership and followership. Environmental factors, organizational objectives, company culture, and individual and group ethical standards will be examined to incorporate situational determinants of leadership effectiveness
BMBA1253 Foundations of Business Analytics (01A WE)
Analytics is the science of transforming data into insight for better business decision making. This course prepares Business Analytics undergraduates for the modern business world in which analytics is a central skill whatever a student’s major and future job. Among the topics discussed in the course are data preparation and data visualization as well as statistical tools such as chi- square testing, regression, and forecasting.
